Mrs. BigDumbChimp and I made a quick run over to the Mt. P farmers market and just grabbed a bunch of stuff. Looks good though!! Beets, cucumbers for some Yankee freezer pickles, strawberries, green beens, broccoli, asparagus, tomatoes, onions and some honey. Gotta love spring.

I was there myself tonight, and picked up some fantastic baguettes from Coco’s Cafe and some grass-fed shortribs along with a big bag of cheap ($3) fresh-picked lettuce from Kennerty Farms. I’m with you: gotta love spring!

Let me know how the grass fed beef is. I’m extremely curious on the quality / grade. I think I might have to start ordering if its good. The price really isn’t that bad.

Oh, I missed the Mt. Pleasant Market last night. What was I thinking? Rev., those are Southern freezer pickles, not Yank pickles. There is a difference. Just want you to be aware of that before you go ahead and make a batch. Enjoy your harvest!!!

Still having frosts here in the midworst - real farmer’s markets are a month away.
It was such a screwy winter that the !@#$ squirrels nailed most of a bulb garden during a warm spell.

OK, we have farmer’s markets - but constant rain. I finally replaced some herbs - but still don’t have a tomato in my garden - the first time in 17 years.
The weather sucks here.
